WA slalom winter race 4 reminder

25th July 2010 - Walyunga National Park (or Hester Park if water levels are low)

Online entry is now available on SlalomWA

Race Location
At this point it looks like we will have enough water at Walyunga; if not the race will be at Hester Park. An email will be sent out Friday night/Sat morning to confirm the venue.
Proposed Program
The program for the TID paddlers will depend on the venue.  For safety reasons if the venue is at Walyunga the TID paddlers will race with the C1/C2 runs.  If the venue is at Hester Park everyone will do their K1 runs together.  But whatever the venue TID paddlers are expected to be at the 9:00am briefing.
This will give coaches plenty of time to go through the course with the TID's before their race.
Online Registration
Please follow the prompts to register online for the race as this helps in the organisation of lists and start times for paddlers.
Even if you are unsure if you are racing; please register as its easier for organisation than to add in late registration.
Late Registration Fees
We have previously been lenient in a 'late registration fee' but in future a $10 will be raised as agreed at the last committee meeting.
Next Race
Our busy race schedule for the next few months is tabulated below.
The slalom juniors generally compete in the Avon Junior either in teams or individuals (more information will be distributed when available).  This is a great event finishing at Bayswater just before the first of the Avon Descent paddlers cross the same finish line.
This year we will be able to, hopefully, cheer Josh Kippin across the line on his first attempt at a full Avon run.
The next slalom race is the State Championships on the 15th August, followed three weeks later by the State Schools Championships.
DR state Championships are ran over two days from the 21st August.  More details as they become available.
